AUTUMN VIGNETTE

Just a simple Fall vignette...

It all started with an old crusty potting table
from my grandfathers house

I love that he probably made this to use in his workshop a long time ago
It was sitting out behind the garage all lonesome looking...
I find it's shabby peeling paint and warbled pieces of wood charming.

A few white pumpkins

a tiny bouquet of tiny pink roses
and a little candle light

Loving the pears-
they fell from the pear tree this morning
ripe and ready to eat

The designs on these little silver plates are so delicate and pretty
I love to use them in a table setting or displayed on the wall
and they are pieces I always keep an eye out for while junking.

The weather changed from cold and rainy just a few days ago
to warm and sunny again today.
It's absolutely wonderful weather for enjoying the outdoors
and perfect for those cozy nights outside by the fire.

I wanted to say thank you so very much to all of you
for your sweet comments here
& on FB about Romantic Homes magazine.
Your kindness and support of my blog means so much to me.

It's been a busy few days and I haven't notched off too many big projects.
but I do have a few exciting things coming up
as well a fantastic giveaway in the works
so stay tuned!
:)

See you tonight for Feathered Nest Friday!

  8. Courtney, it's gorgeous as always! I love the colors, and the soft whites. I actually have the same little compote in milk glass, I have a collection of greens and whites. Love what you did by adding the roses.

  37. I have started a list of things that different bloggers are looking for, and I'll add your beautiful plates to the list. Those are extremely pretty and delicate!!! If I run into any, I will let you know. Meanwhile, the vignette you set up is so pretty and looks like the kind of place I could sit for hours. There is an innate charm in that table, probably largely due to the fact that it was your granddad's and there are many good memories therefore attached. Beautiful and ethereal!!! Have a peaceful weekend!
