FEATHERED NEST FRIDAY

Twas the Thursday before Christmas
when all through the house
not a creature was stirring...

except the wild crazy woman trying to finish everything up
AT THE LAST MINUTE!!
:-/

Are your gifts all wrapped? The halls decked?
The cookies and pies baked?

Aye...
Not here.
Not even close.
I think I have wrapped 3 presents so far and they were small.

So I am sharing these gorgeous peonies
They are pretty, calm, sweet and serene
and they are blooming away in the kitchen.

Janet over at Shabbyfufu shared her peonies about a week ago
and I had BIG TIME peony envy.
I didn't think that they would have any here in California in December...
but thought I would check.
and low and behold...
they had just a few special random bunches of these beauties!

I love to add a bit of pink with the Holiday decorations
and these are perfect with the little cypress tree and boxwood
and a favorite vintage statue.

I know so many of my friends are out of town or busy with family this week-
but I am putting up the link party as usual for those of you who would like to join in.

If you are like me...
you didn't get HALF the Holiday posts done this year.
So...
this weeks Feathered Nest Friday party link will be extra long
and stay open through Wednesday!!
So come back over and share all your Christmas and Holiday posts,
recaps, house tours, etc.!

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS
to ALL of my blog friends out there!!

Wishing you all the blessings of the Season,
Peace and wonderful times with family and friends.

Onto the Recap from last week!

Hello Courtney, This is almost a first for me. I have decorated, shopped and wrapped! All that remains for me - and it is no small task - is to cook! Today I am actually relaxing and catching up on all my blog lovin'. Such inspiration! Peonies - I Heart Peonies! They come so briefly in May - so wonderful to find them this time of year! How I'd love to have their sweet presence in my home! For the first day of Winter we're having weird weather - warm with a chance of severe weather and tornadoes. I have my red slippers on ready to go! Thoroughly enjoyed sharing Fridays with you and wish you a most Delightsome Merry Christmas,
Kathy
