Dainty Teacups & Saucers

The thrift store was calling to me yesterday.
Sometimes I find nothing & then sometimes I find so many things
 I think I shouldn't have stopped

But I stopped.
Mainly because I am looking for more white pieces for the second bookshelf.

Yes,
more white dishes... I am insane.

The good?
 It was half price day.

The bad?
 It was half price day
so I found a lot of treasures & justified that at 50% off they needed to come home with me.

The ugly?
The check out line that seemed to wind all the way through to the back of the store

Actually, there really was nothing but pretties with this shopping trip
I found some fantastic pieces and even a couple of white dishes
(YES!!)

I think the best treasures of the day were these absolutely gorgeous
I- just- about- knocked- over- 3- ladies- and- climbed-up-and-over-the-counter-to-grab-them
sweet, dainty, delicate teacups & saucers.

I love them so much,
I just might have to start a new collection.

 Their raised pattern...
love love love.

oh... and their dainty saucers.

There were 6 teacups and 6 saucers all together

*sigh*

hmm...
I wonder just where these pretty white dishes will go.
;)

    1. Thanks Kim- Not a new camera- it's my Canon Rebel, I am just learning more how to play with the settings and shooting in manual mode- it makes a huge difference in how the photos come out.

    2. I've been in manual the whole time, but still learning more all the time. I love the shot where the acorns are blurred.

  38. When I first looked at your photos, I just couldn't believe it.....Spode's "Jewel" is my china pattern! I was given 12 place settings as a wedding gift a million years ago and have never been able to find any additional pieces as it's been discontinued for so long. I adore my china....every piece is like a doily frozen in time. So glad for your incredible find!

    1. Marty, after seeing Courtney's incredibly beautiful cups and saucers, I immediately checked ebay. They have quite a few pieces, although not as reasonable as you might find in a thrift store, with the key word being "might."
