A Romantic Winter Table

You know how sometimes in the middle of January there are those
beautiful warm days that invite you to step outside and enjoy the fresh air?
You know it's January.
You know it should be freezing cold outside and last week it was freezing cold
but this week...  it's warmed up and it's calling to you to come outside and enjoy.

I headed outside to enjoy the warmth and play with an outdoor table setting
I wanted a touch of whimsy, a little bit rustic  and simple elegance

I started with a simple drape of burlap fabric over the table.
No sewing required for this one- just a large piece that drapes all the way to the floor.
(This is 60"wide burlap from Burlap Fabric.com)

I adore this flatware with it's charming Peacocks and chunky details
and always love a stack of pretty white dishes edged in platinum

Against the burlap~
so  perfect and a favorite juxtaposition of mine.

Vintage silver goblets and sugar containers with
mixed sizes of mercury glass candlesticks

&
 a $5.00 special bouquet of
pale peachy pink, green and white roses on the table

So simple but charming
and perfect for an outdoor setting.

The place settings & flatware are Mikasa & were part of  a recent styling job
This pattern is called Adelaide Platinum and is absolutely gorgeous~
you will be seeing more of them on here for sure
;)
